Job Description

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) will assist patients by providing anesthesia during a number of procedures. From surgery to diagnostics, they should feel comfortable working under pressure. We need the CRNA to be precise and technical on the job, while also exhibiting interpersonal skills to put each patient at ease in the operating room. They may need to obtain consent, explain procedures, or assist with post-op transfers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation of each patient
  • Prepare all necessary equipment and tools for operating rooms  
  • Order laboratory or diagnostic testing as needed
  • Implement a customized anesthesia strategy for each patient
  • Prepare and administer all necessary medication and anesthesia
  • Monitor patient airways and respiration for potential complications
  • Assist with immediate and long-term patient recovery
  • Develop and implement appropriate post operative pain management solutions
  • Work with medical staff to manage emergencies in the operating room
  • Research and evaluate new anesthetic technologies

Necessary Skills & Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN)
  • Current state license and certification
  • Completion of all state-mandated ongoing education requirements
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a CRNA
  • Proven success with epidurals and spinals
  • Proven success with airway and respiratory management
  • Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
