Job Description

 Responsible for the timely and accurate submission of medical claims to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare and Medicaid.The candidate must be familiar with Georgia medical billing guidelines; to include but not limited to, Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial insurance billing.

Job Requirements

POSITION REQUREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma (College degree preferred)
  • MS Office experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Multitasking
  • Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work and achieves results with little oversight
  • Analyzes claims/accounts to determine causes if and where there are variances
  • Corrects/edits billing claims and insurance information as needed for timely submission
  • Reviews rejected and/or denied claims, making corrections and resubmitting clean claims within the required time frames

EXPERIENCE:

  • Medical Billing (1 year)
  • Familiar with CPT, ICD 10, and Modifiers

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the workday, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
