Job Description

Working with physicians in caring for patients. Responsible for assisting with answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, receiving patients and completing the patient encounter as per office specifications.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma and Medical Assistant Certificate from accredited institution.  Must be computer literate with previous physician office practice experience.  Requires attention to detail, good customer service skills and ability to adapt to changing needs of department.   Minimum of three (3) years physician office medical assistant experience preferred.  Bilingual ability preferred.

PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the workday, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
  • Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the assigned responsibilities
